The Pilot USA PA-1779TH is an active noise-reduction (ANR) aviation headset in the PA-1779T Independence Series, configured as the helicopter-plug version.

Its self-contained ANR system uses a rechargeable nickel-metal-hydride (NiMH) battery. The headset incorporates automatic on/off shut-off circuitry, dual volume controls, a mono/stereo selector, auxiliary audio input and cell/satellite-phone capability. Comfort features include a sheepskin head pad and silicone gel ear seals.
