The ARTEX C406-2 ELT Kit, manufacturer part number 455-5010, is an emergency locator transmitter solution for fixed-wing aircraft. The C406-2 transmits on 406 MHz, 121.5 MHz and 243 MHz, and is designed to activate automatically following a crash through its single-direction G-switch.

This C406-2 configuration uses two coaxial cables to accommodate all three emergency frequencies. ARTEX identifies part number 455-5010 with rod antenna references 110-320 (white) and 110-320-04 (black), together with remote switch and accessory reference 455-6196.

The C406-2 may be interfaced with the optional ARTEX ELT/NAV Interface for transmission of latitude and longitude data within the 406 MHz message.
