Artex C406-1 ELT Kit

The ARTEX C406-1 ELT Kit, manufacturer part number 455-5015, is an emergency locator transmitter configuration for fixed-wing aircraft. The C406-1 is designed for automatic activation during an impact event, with manual activation also available, and transmits on 121.5 MHz, 243 MHz and 406 MHz.

Its 406 MHz digital distress message is transmitted through the Cospas-Sarsat satellite system to support timely identification and search-and-rescue coordination. The C406-1 uses a single coaxial cable arrangement for all three operating frequencies.
