Sigtronics Spa-400N Intercom

Sigtronics SPA-400N is a panel-mount, four-place intercom designed by the manufacturer for high-noise cockpit environments. It combines voice-activated (VOX) intercom operation with a push-to-intercom function, providing an alternative communication method where ambient or wind noise can make VOX operation more challenging.

The unit supports communication through the aircraft radio using the aircraft push-to-talk switches. Sigtronics also specifies a pilot radio fail-safe feature, intended to retain pilot radio audio if the intercom is switched off.
