Ignition Shielding Braid, manufacturer part number 863R, is a flexible tubular multi-strand braid made from tinned copper. Supplied by the foot, it has a nominal 1/4 in (approximately 6 mm) diameter.

Designed for use as an external shielding braid over ignition or spark-plug wire installations, it provides a practical means of helping reduce radio-frequency interference (RFI) associated with ignition systems.
