Intercom Gear Warn Device Ii

The IGWD II Intercom Gear Warning Device is a compact electronic warning unit designed to route a loud pulsing landing-gear warning tone into the pilot’s headset audio circuit. It is intended to help make landing-gear warnings more noticeable where cockpit warning horns may be difficult to hear, including when using noise-cancelling headsets.

The unit can be configured for a single input from a throttle gear-safety switch, or for two inputs using landing-gear and flap indication lights or switches. In the two-input configuration, the warning is enabled if the flap-UP indication is lost before a landing-gear-down indication is present.
