The ARTEX G406-4 is an emergency locator transmitter (ELT) configured with a rod antenna. Manufacturer part number 455-5019.

Designed for emergency signalling, the G406-4 operates on 121.5 MHz, 243.0 MHz and 406 MHz. It can activate automatically following a crash event or manually, transmitting a 406 MHz digital emergency message for the Cospas-Sarsat search-and-rescue satellite system.
