The J.P. Instruments Fuel Flow Transducer 231, manufacturer part number 700900-2, is a gravity-feed fuel flow sensor for use with compatible fuel-flow monitoring installations. Also identified as the FXT-231, it generates a pulse signal from an opto-electronic pickup to support fuel-flow indication.

The Model 231 is intended by J.P. Instruments for gravity-feed fuel systems without an engine-driven fuel pump. Its internal flow path is designed to vent vapour bubbles during fuel flow, while the rotor-based sensing system measures flow rate.

  • Manufacturer: J.P. Instruments
  • Manufacturer part number: 700900-2
  • Model identification: 231 / FXT-231
  • Fuel-flow range: 3 to 90 GPH
  • Fuel ports: 1/4 in female NPT
  • Electrical supply: 12 to 15 VDC
  • Signal output: open-collector transistor output
  • Operating temperature range: -55°C to +70°C

Installation should follow the applicable J.P. Instruments installation documentation and approved maintenance data. J.P. Instruments specifies horizontal mounting with the wires facing upward, and identifies the direction of fuel flow on the transducer body.
