The Taskem Model 5000 MTRS is a solid-state digital altimeter with metre-based altitude indication. Designed around a high-contrast 4½-digit LCD display, it provides large characters and an integral backlight to support reading in low-light conditions.

Its solid-state construction is intended to resist shock and vibration, making it suitable for experimental and ultralight installations where a digital, metre-reading altitude instrument is required.
