The UMA 8-310-20 is a 3-1/8 in (approximately 79 mm) vertical speed indicator with a ±2,000 ft/min range and a clearly marked “Vertical Speed” dial.

Designed for connection to the aircraft static system, this direct-reading instrument provides an indication of the rate of altitude change. It is temperature compensated and features a zero-adjustment screw on the instrument face.
