The United Instruments 7030-C27 is a 3-1/8 in vertical speed indicator (VSI) for indicating an aircraft’s rate of climb or descent. This 7000 Series instrument has a 0–3,000 ft/min operating range and a split-dial configuration.

Designed for connection to the aircraft static-pressure system, the indicator shows climb by clockwise pointer movement from zero and descent by counter-clockwise movement. A face-mounted zero-adjustment screw is provided at the seven o’clock position.
