The Garmin GTX 45R is a remote-mount ADS-B transponder providing ADS-B Out capability together with ADS-B In traffic reception. Designed by Garmin for experimental amateur-built and light sport aircraft, it is intended for integrated installations using compatible Garmin flight displays and a compatible GPS position source.

Remote installation allows transponder control, including squawk-code entry, through a compatible G3X or G3X Touch display. The unit can support the display of ADS-B traffic on compatible connected avionics and provides wireless connectivity through Garmin Connext technology for supported devices and applications.
