The Sensorcon AV8 Inspector Pro is a portable carbon monoxide (CO) monitor for aviation environments. Manufacturer part number AV8-CO-03.

Its electrochemical sensor provides continuous CO readings, with visual, audible and vibration alarm indications. The Pro version also provides adjustable high and low alarm settings and a 24-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) function for reviewing the maximum 8-hour exposure during the preceding 24 hours.

Overview

In aviation, CO is commonly produced by equipment such as piston-driven aircraft, ground servicing equipment, and airside vehicles. Turbine engine aircraft exhaust and auxiliary power unit (APU) exhaust can also contribute to the accumulation of unsafe levels of CO.
