The J.P. Instruments EDM-730-4C 231 is an EDM 730 engine monitoring system configuration identified for four-cylinder engines. This version includes the 231 fuel-flow configuration and CHT bayonet probes.

The EDM 730 combines engine-monitoring information on a full-colour display and may be installed in portrait or landscape orientation. JPI identifies the EDM 730 series with individual EGT and CHT monitoring, shock-cooling indication, EGT span display, lean-of-peak/rich-of-peak leaning mode, data recording and USB data download capability.
