The Deltran 8V Battery Tender Junior, manufacturer part number 022-0197, is an automatic 8 V battery charger and maintainer for compatible four-cell lead-acid batteries. The current manufacturer designation for part number 022-0197 is Battery Tender® Plus 8 V 1.25 A.

Designed to charge and maintain 8 V flooded, sealed maintenance-free, AGM and gel-cell lead-acid batteries, it uses an automatic four-stage charging programme with initialization, bulk charge, absorption and float/maintenance modes. Once the battery is fully charged, the unit switches to maintenance charging and continues to monitor battery condition.
