RC Allen Factory Overhauled RCA15Bk-1

The RC Allen RCA15BK-1 is a factory-overhauled, electrically driven directional gyro with internal lighting for 28 VDC aircraft electrical systems. It provides direct-reading azimuth indication through 360° and incorporates a power-failure warning flag.

Designed for a standard 79 mm (3 1/8 in) instrument-panel cut-out, the RCA15BK-1 uses an internal inverter to operate its gyro motor from aircraft DC power. The manufacturer specifies a nominal rotor run-up time of approximately three minutes.
