The RC Allen RCA11A-8 is a factory-overhauled vacuum directional gyro in the RCA-11A series, configured with the standard display.

This air-driven instrument uses a precision gyro and vertical rotating azimuth gimbal to provide directional indication. A reset knob is provided for alignment with the magnetic compass. The RCA11A series is described as having a full-freedom design and non-tumbling performance within ±85° of pitch and roll.
