The FP1224V is a capacitive fuel-level probe for 12–24 V electrical systems, with a nominal probe length of approximately 610 mm (24 in) and a 0–5 V output signal.

Its concentric-tube construction forms a capacitor whose value changes as fuel level rises around the probe. An integrated amplifier converts this change into an output suitable for a compatible fuel-level meter or display. The probe can be manually calibrated during installation.
