The Tempest AA442CW-10 is a new dry-air vacuum pump with clockwise rotation for aviation pneumatic vacuum-system use. Manufactured under the Tempest brand by Aero Accessories, it is supplied as one unit.

Tempest describes its dry-air pump design as incorporating improved stator porting to support airflow and reduce peak loads, bi-polar pumping action for balanced rotor loading, and a by-pass rotor design intended to help reduce foreign-object damage and vane sticking. Chemically impregnated vanes and rotor are designed to provide natural lubricity and heat resistance.
