The J.P. Instruments FS-450G Fuel Scan is a panel-mounted fuel-flow instrument configured for gravity-flow fuel systems without an engine-driven fuel pump. Manufacturer part number 450000-G.

Using a turbine fuel-flow transducer, the FS-450 tracks measured fuel flow and calculates fuel-use information from the fuel quantity entered before engine start. Its digital display supports practical in-flight fuel monitoring for pilots and maintenance professionals.

  • Fuel-flow indication
  • Fuel used since refuelling
  • Calculated fuel remaining
  • Calculated remaining endurance time
  • Programmable low-fuel quantity and remaining-time alarms
  • Automatic and manual display scanning modes
  • GPS flight-data capability for calculated fuel required to a waypoint or destination and predicted reserve, when connected and configured with a compatible GPS data source

The FS-450 instrument is approximately 64 × 64 × 58 mm deep, including the connector, according to J.P. Instruments documentation. Installation and configuration must be performed in accordance with the applicable J.P. Instruments instructions and approved aircraft data.

Manufacturer documentation: FS-450 product information and Fuel Flow Installation Manual.
