Pinked Dacron Bias Tape 3 is a bias-cut Dacron tape with pinked edges, intended for fabric-covering finishing work on homebuilt aircraft. The bias-cut weave is designed to stretch and conform around compound curves, helping the tape follow contours such as wing tips and tail surfaces with reduced wrinkling.

Bias-cut tapes (weave 45° to edge) are especially useful for trimming compound curves on components such as wing tips and tail surfaces. Bias tape will stretch to conform to the contour without wrinkles, without heat-shrinking edges or cutting and notching to remove excess fabric. Stretching reduces the width about 35% so 3" tape should be used to finish areas normally covered with 2" tape. 2" Bias tape will pull to about 1-3/8" width. Sold in 50 yard rolls.
