Flamemaster Chemseal CS247 B-2 Windshield / Canopy Sealant - 2.5 Oz. Cartridge

Flamemaster Chemseal CS 247 B-2 is a two-part, manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide sealant for aircraft windshield and canopy work. This 2.5 oz cartridge is identified by manufacturer part number CS247B2 2.5OZ.

CS 247 Class B is designed for setting or repairing glass, acrylic and polycarbonate windshields and transparencies in composite or metal frames. Flamemaster describes the uncured material as thixotropic, low-sag and suitable for application by extrusion gun or spatula.

• Room-temperature-curing polysulfide sealant
• B-2 grade with a minimum application time of 2 hours at 25 °C and 50% relative humidity
• Manufacturer-stated resistance to crazing on acrylic and polycarbonate
• Manufacturer-stated UV resistance
• Cured service-temperature range: -54 °C to +121 °C
• Flamemaster specification based on AMS3333, Type II, high-peel-strength version

For acrylic and polycarbonate applications, Flamemaster recommends use of an appropriate adhesion promoter such as CS 900. Always verify material suitability and use with the applicable aircraft maintenance data and sealant technical documentation.
