PPG PR-1776M B-2 is a low-weight, two-part modified polysulphide sealant designed for aircraft integral fuel-tank fillet sealing and other aircraft fuselage sealing applications.

The uncured material is a low-sag, thixotropic paste suitable for application by extrusion gun or spatula. It cures at room temperature to form a resilient, elastomeric sealant with adhesion to common aircraft substrates.

  • Low-density formulation intended to reduce sealant weight versus traditional sealants
  • For fuel-tank and fuselage fillet-sealing applications
  • Service temperature range: -54°C to +121°C, with very limited excursions up to +182°C
  • Cured material maintains elastomeric properties following prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline; it also resists limited contact with phosphate-ester hydraulic fluids
  • Two-part, manganese-dioxide-cured PERMAPOL® P-5 modified polysulphide formulation
