LOCTITE® 609 is a one-part, high-strength, low-viscosity anaerobic retaining compound supplied in a 50 ml bottle. It is designed for bonding close-fitting cylindrical metal parts, including the retention of bushings and sleeves in housings or on shafts and the augmentation of press-fit assemblies.

The green liquid cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces. It is fluorescent under UV light for quality-control inspection.

  • Low-viscosity, anaerobic-curing formulation
  • High shear strength: 15.8 N/mm² on steel
  • Maximum gap fill: 0.15 mm
