CorrosionX® is a multifunction corrosion-prevention compound, lubricant and penetrant supplied in a 1-gallon format. The manufacturer describes the original CorrosionX formula as a thin-film treatment designed to displace moisture and help protect metal surfaces against rust and corrosion while providing lubrication and penetrating action.

Its dielectric characteristics are stated by the manufacturer to make it suitable for use around electrical and electronic components. For aviation maintenance use, select and apply the product only where permitted by the applicable aircraft maintenance data and component manufacturer instructions.
