3M™ Perfect-It™ EX AC Rubbing Compound is a liquid, fast-cutting compound for the pre-polishing stage of painted-surface refinishing. It is formulated to remove P1200-or-finer sanding scratches and small surface defects while leaving a refined finish for subsequent polishing.

The compound is designed for a broad range of working conditions and is intended to remain workable without sticking or leaving residual film. Its smooth-handling formulation helps reduce powdering and is designed to stay on the compounding pad to help limit sling and cleanup.
