The 3M Scotch-Brite™ Hand Pad 7448 is an ultra-fine, grey non-woven abrasive pad for controlled surface conditioning, cleaning, blending and paint-preparation tasks. Its flexible construction conforms to irregular areas and corners while providing a consistent finishing action.

Filled with silicon carbide abrasive mineral, the 7448 pad is designed for use on metal, wood, plastics and composite materials. 3M describes its finish as comparable to 00-grade steel wool, without the risk of shredding, rusting or leaving metal splinters associated with steel wool.
