The GSM 101-4 is a 90° vertical full-flow oil filter adapter kit for experimental Lycoming-engine installations. Machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminium and finished in black anodising, it relocates the oil filter to a vertical position to support accessible filter servicing where installation clearance permits.

The vertical arrangement is intended to allow oil to drain back towards the sump before filter removal when the filter is suitably punctured at its upper section. The adapter incorporates a safety-wire anchor and is supplied as an adapter and gasket kit; no oil filter is included.
