AeroShell Grease 5 is a high-temperature aviation grease formulated with mineral oil and a Microgel thickener. It is designed to provide load-carrying capability, resistance to water washout, and protection against oxidation and corrosion.

Shell identifies AeroShell Grease 5 for aircraft wheel-bearing service, particularly where landing speeds are high, and for specified aircraft and engine accessories operating at relatively high speeds and temperatures. It is also commonly used on specified piston-aircraft propeller applications.
