Thermo-Tec Aluminized Heat Barrier, manufacturer part number 14001, is a flexible heat-barrier sheet made from woven silica with an aluminized reflective finish. The 914 x 1,016 mm sheet format can be trimmed to suit a specific heat-management installation.

The manufacturer describes the reflective surface as capable of withstanding radiant temperatures up to 1,093 °C, with the fabric side resilient at temperatures up to 538 °C. Installation methods stated by the manufacturer include standard rivets with backup washers or weather-strip adhesive; clamps or straps may also be used where appropriate.
