AeroShell Grease 5 is a clay-thickened, mineral-oil aviation grease designed for high-temperature service, load-carrying capability, oxidation resistance and resistance to water washout.

Shell identifies AeroShell Grease 5 for aircraft wheel bearings, particularly where landing speeds are high, and for selected aircraft and engine accessories operating at relatively high speeds and temperatures. It is also commonly used on piston-aircraft propellers where specified by the applicable maintenance data.
