The Champion Aerospace SS1001 SlickSTART™ magneto start booster is designed for use with Slick magnetos. Using solid-state ignition-boost technology, it increases magneto output during engine starting to support more dependable hot, cold, flooded and normal starts.

Champion states that the SS1001 can provide up to 340% more spark energy during starting. The unit is intended for integration with conventional magneto ignition systems; correct applicability, installation configuration and continued airworthiness must be verified against the current manufacturer documentation and approved aircraft data.
