The Tempest® CO-300 is an engine-mounted oil filter adapter kit for specified Continental C-125, C-145 and O-300 series engines. The adapter replaces the engine oil-screen arrangement with a spin-on oil-filter installation.

Manufacturer part number: CO-300.

  • Engine-mounted oil filter adapter configuration
  • Supplied with a Tempest® AA48108-2 spin-on oil filter
  • Includes the mounting components and gaskets identified in the manufacturer’s installation instructions
  • Manufacturer documentation references FAA STC SE8409SW

Installation requires the applicable approved maintenance data and must be carried out by appropriately qualified personnel. Confirm engine, airframe, filter-clearance and state-of-registry approval requirements before installation; FAA STC reference does not by itself establish EASA approval.

Tempest engine mounted oil filter adapters eliminate the need for oil screens and provide increased filtering capabilities for longer engine life. Being engine mounted with no external lines, they reduce mess during oil changes and increase the time between oil changes.
