The B&C Specialty Products BC700-1 is an STC/PMA oil filter adapter kit designed to replace an existing pressure oil screen, horizontal spin-on filter adapter or remote oil filtration arrangement on applicable Lycoming engine installations. It provides a direct engine-mounted solution for use with a spin-on oil filter.

Machined from solid aluminium billet, the BC700-1 features an angled configuration intended to accommodate the tachometer cable, oil-cooler return line and restricted space between the engine and firewall. The kit is supplied ready for installation with mounting hardware, gaskets and a Champion CH48108 or 48109 oil filter, according to the manufacturer’s installation instructions.

  • For applicable Lycoming O-235, 320, 360, 540 and IO-720 series engine installations
  • Not compatible with 76-series engines or accessory cases with dual-magneto mounts
  • Installation requires confirmation of engine, airframe and filter clearance; follow the applicable B&C installation instructions and instructions for continued airworthiness
