The FAP 04-3 reducer is designed to adapt a 3ATI instrument-panel cut-out for installation of a 3 1/8 in (approximately 79 mm) diameter instrument using a four-hole mounting arrangement.

The reducer arrangement uses a rear plate secured behind the panel and a front plate with 45-degree corners fitted into the existing 3ATI opening. The plate may be shimmed to suit instrument-panel thickness.
