The McFarlane Aviation MCVA35-944046-7 is a Vernier-Assist™ throttle control assembly. Its patented roller-action design provides fine throttle adjustment by rotating the control knob, while normal coarse adjustment is made by pushing or pulling the knob.

The control operates through friction rather than a conventional threaded vernier locking arrangement. A friction lock holds the selected setting and may be overridden when required.
