The McFarlane Vernier-Assist™ Throttle Control, manufacturer part number MCVA0411091-30, is an FAA-PMA approved throttle control designed to combine fine vernier adjustment with conventional push-pull control movement.

McFarlane’s Vernier-Assist mechanism uses friction-based roller action rather than a threaded positive-lock arrangement. Coarse throttle adjustments are made by pushing or pulling the control knob, while fine adjustments are made by rotating the knob. The friction lock holds the selected control position and can be overridden when required.
