McFarlane Aviation Vernier-Assist™ throttle control assembly, manufacturer part number MCVA9863056-8. This FAA-PMA approved throttle control combines push-pull coarse adjustment with fine vernier control by rotating the knob.

The Vernier-Assist design uses patented roller-action friction control rather than a conventional threaded vernier mechanism. A friction lock holds the selected setting while allowing the control to be overridden when required.
