McFarlane Aviation MCVAS1222-6S Vernier-Assist™ Throttle Control Assembly is an FAA-PMA approved throttle control designed to combine fine vernier adjustment with direct push-pull operation.

The Vernier-Assist™ mechanism uses friction and patented roller action rather than a threaded positive lock. Fine throttle adjustments are made by rotating the control knob, while coarse adjustments can be made by pushing or pulling the knob. McFarlane describes the design as providing smooth friction control, precision power adjustment and a compact, buttonless vernier-style operation.
