The McFarlane Vernier-Assist™ throttle control, part number MCVA9863055-9, is an FAA-PMA approved engine throttle control designed to combine fine vernier adjustment with normal push-pull operation.

McFarlane’s Vernier-Assist™ mechanism uses friction-operated roller action rather than a conventional threaded positive-lock arrangement. Fine throttle adjustments are made by rotating the control knob, while coarse adjustments can be made by pushing or pulling the knob. The friction lock holds the selected setting while remaining manually overridable.
