McFarlane Aviation Vernier-Assist™ throttle control, manufacturer part number MCVA565-549-031. This FAA-PMA approved control combines push-pull coarse adjustment with fine throttle adjustment by rotating the control knob.

The Vernier-Assist™ mechanism operates through a friction-based, patented roller-action design rather than a threaded positive-lock arrangement. The control can be moved coarsely by pushing or pulling the knob, while rotation provides fine power adjustments. A friction lock holds the selected position and can be overridden when required.
