The McFarlane Aviation MCVA9863053-15 is a Vernier-Assist™ throttle control assembly with FAA-PMA approval indicated by the manufacturer. It provides conventional coarse throttle movement by pushing or pulling the knob, together with fine adjustment by rotating the knob.

The patented Vernier-Assist mechanism operates through friction rather than threaded engagement or locking balls/pins. A friction lock holds the selected control position while allowing the control to be overridden when required.
