MCVAS1222-1S is a McFarlane Aviation Vernier-Assist™ throttle control designed to combine conventional push-pull throttle movement with fine vernier adjustment.

The patented Vernier-Assist mechanism uses friction rather than threaded engagement, locking balls or pins. Coarse throttle changes are made by pushing or pulling the control, while fine adjustments are made by rotating the knob. The friction lock holds the selected position and may be overridden for normal push-pull operation when required.
