McFarlane Aviation Vernier-Assist™ throttle control assembly, manufacturer part number MCVA9863056-1. This FAA-PMA approved control combines conventional push-pull movement for coarse throttle changes with rotary vernier adjustment for fine power setting.

The patented Vernier-Assist™ mechanism operates through friction and roller action rather than a conventional threaded vernier mechanism. Coarse adjustments are made by pushing or pulling the knob; fine adjustments are made by rotating it. A friction lock holds the selected position while permitting pilot override when required.
