McFarlane Vernier-Assist™ throttle control assembly, manufacturer part number MCVA9863056-3. This FAA-PMA approved control combines conventional push-pull movement for coarse throttle adjustment with rotary knob operation for fine adjustment.

The Vernier-Assist™ design uses friction and patented roller action rather than a threaded positive-lock mechanism. The control is intended to provide smooth, precise throttle setting while retaining direct in-and-out movement of the knob for larger adjustments.
