The McFarlane Aviation Cowl Saver™ Scoring Tool, part number TOOL120, is designed to score the stiffer outer layer of Cowl Saver™ engine baffle seal material where additional flexibility is required.

The tool uses three razor blades spaced approximately 4 mm apart. Integrated spacers help control scoring depth to reduce the risk of cutting into the material’s fibreglass reinforcing layer. This supports tailored flexibility for new baffle-seal installations and adjustment of existing installations.
