McFarlane MC555-692 is an FAA-PMA approved seat adjustment spring designed to replace the original coil spring/hydraulic-style seat spring used in applicable Piper installations. McFarlane replaces the original coil spring/hydraulic arrangement with a gas spring.

  • Replaces Piper part numbers 76445-000 and 555-692
  • Replacement for original P. L. Porter Hydrolok coil spring/hydraulic style

For correct selection, verify the installed spring configuration before ordering. McFarlane notes that aircraft make, model and serial number alone may not be sufficient where a seat assembly has been retrofitted. The original coil spring/hydraulic style can be identified by its visible coil spring and confirmed by thread measurement.
