The Tanis TA3083-2 is a 230 V heli-preheat kit identified for the Bell 407 with RR250-C47B engine configuration. It is intended to provide electrically powered preheating for selected helicopter components before operation in cold conditions.

The Tanis preheat system uses thin electrical-resistance heating pads shaped for the applicable engine and drivetrain components. Power is supplied through a dedicated wiring assembly incorporating circuit overload protection and a power-indicator light. The system is self-regulating by design.
