The A-970 Control 96 Red Knob is a vernier control assembly in the A-970 series, supplied in a 96-inch configuration (approximately 2.4 m) with a red control knob.

The control uses a push-button function for direct push/pull movement; when the button is released, the knob may be rotated for fine adjustment. Its flexible casing is Teflon-lined to support low-friction operation and heat resistance. The control end has a non-swivelling 1/4-28 threaded connection.
