McFarlane Aviation MC1752078-4 is an FAA-PMA approved shaft for the carburettor heat box. It is manufactured as a replacement for OEM reference 1752078-4 and incorporates McFarlane’s elastomer-bearing design in place of the original needle-bearing arrangement.

The elastomer bearing is designed to reduce micro-movement and associated metal erosion while absorbing shaft and butterfly vibration. McFarlane states that the design was tested for more than 700,000 cycles under avgas, heat and vibration exposure.
